A mere three weeks after the Grossman affair, a Sefer Torah was dedicated to Chabad at the Beaches.

Over a hundred and twenty people showed to the event organized by Rabbi Nochum Kurinsky and Rabbi Eli Wilansky. Participants were awarded a plaque with a picture of the Rebbe at the Siyum of Moshiach's Sefer Torah.

The Torah was purchased with the help of the community, and was Dedicated in Loving Memory of Stephen H. Broudy.

The event was widely covered by the local media with at least 2 TV stations and local newspaper editors amongst the participants.
