Reserves General, Uzi Dayan, who served as deputy chief of staff and chairman of the National Security Council, visited yesterday (Sunday), the Gush Katif Museum in Yerushalayim, where he surveyed the different wings of the museum, and studied their content, for almost three hours. He was accompanied throughout the tour by his assistants and director of the Museum Shlomo Vasertil.

The general showed interest in every detail; clearly exhibiting emotions. At the end of the visit Dayan said that the main message of the Museum is that the story of Gush Katif should not repeat itself. And we must get as many visitors as possible to experience in a tangible manner the tribulation the Gush Katif Settlers had to bear.

At the end of the visit, the general lit a candle in memory of the Kedoshei Gush Katif. In the Guest book, he summed up his visit with the words "never again".
